Hi! I am Dawn and I am so glad you stopped by today. This is a sacred place for me. One where I feel like you and I can meet and share what we know. I am going got write about the things i have learned when it comes to trusting God in my context- that is as an entrepreneur, a non-profit/ministry leader, creative, dreamer who also is a wife and mom.
Life has not always been easy and certainly has presented its ups and downs….but this is the life God has give me and I am choosing to do all I can to live it for His glory alone. So join me…whether you start with me this day or any other day. Share with me what you think or how you feel about the things I talk about. That way we know we are here together and I am not on my own.
Dawn Owens is the Founder/Executive Director of The Link of Cullman County. Her husband Chris, a native of Cullman, AL and their son, Sawyer moved to Cullman in 2010 after feeling led to start a new local church. It didn’t take long before God re-arranged their plans and gave Dawn a vision of an organization that would sit like a hub in a wheel to meet the needs of the poor in Cullman. After abandoning all of her plans God has been taking her on the adventure of her lifetime as she stewards His vision for the Cullman area through The Link of Cullman County.
The Link of Cullman County, was founded in March 2012, and is a faith -based non-profit working to break the cycle of poverty through encouragement, education, and employability training.
Dawn received a B.A. in Professional Writing, with minors in Speech Communications and Public Relations and a M. Ed. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA. She also has an almost completed M.A.R in Pastoral Leadership from Cincinnati Christian University in Cincinnati, OH.
